Rowling, Joanne K. " Harry Potter and the half-blood prince " - Points: oooooooo oo (8/10) read: July 2005
Joanne K. Rowling Another term starts at Hogwarts. Harry, Ron and Hermione are returning from their summer break. But this time quite a few things are different. The magical world is well aware that Voldermort, the Dark Lord, has returned to his old strength and has gathered his fellows around him. The Death Eaters are killing and bringing terror into the world. The minestry of magic is fighting against them, but there seems to be only one wizard who will be able to face You-know-who.
I read this book between volume 3 and volume 4 of the otherland books. I should not have done so. Compared to the story of Tad Williams the first three hundred pages seem a bit like slow motion. I read all the other Harry Potter books and like in every other one, there is not much happening until the christmas break. But then, finally, the story evolves. Things I was waiting for in "The Order of the Phoenix" finally happen and the last 150 pages just rushed. Bits of the former stories fit together and the very end is really breathtaking. Nevertheless I have an idea what might happen in the next book...

Rowling, Joanne K. " Harry Potter and the deathly hallows " - Points: oooooooooo (10/10) read: July 2007
Harry, Ron and Hermione do not return to Hogwarts after the summer holidays. Dumbledore has left them a task, to fight the dark lord, to find and destroy the remaining horcruxes. Voldermort and his death eaters are fighting against the minestry of magic, they are trying to capture and kill Harry.
The final book of the Harry Potter series is the best. The story is thrilling from the first page on, many characters from the previous books appear again and some of them do remarkable contributiuons to the story. The book is far less a black and white type than the previous ones, we learn that even Dumbledore has some dark spots in his C.V..
